Editorial Policy
Recipe sourcing
We draw inspiration from a wide range of culinary traditions and trusted food publications. When we adapt a recipe from another source, we:
- Substantially rewrite ingredient lists, measurements, and technique
- Test cook the recipe to verify it works as written
- Add nutritional context (calories, protein, fiber)
- Credit the original source in our notes where appropriate
We do not publish minor rewordings of other people’s recipes. Every recipe on this site represents real editorial work.
Recipe testing
Every recipe is cooked at least twice before publication. We document:
- Prep time (from start of prep to food in pan)
- Cook time (from start of cooking to plating)
- Yield (how many servings)
- Equipment needed
- Common pitfalls and how to avoid them
If a recipe fails our testing — undercooked, oversalted, or doesn’t match the nutritional targets — we don’t publish it.
Photography
All recipe photos are shot in our test kitchen with natural light. We avoid heavy editing or styling that misrepresents the finished dish. The food you see is the food you’ll make.
Corrections
We take corrections seriously. If you spot an error in a recipe — incorrect ingredient, wrong time, missing step — please email us at corrections@healthy-recipes.pages.dev. We aim to review all corrections within 48 hours and update the recipe page with a note when substantial changes are made.
Sponsored content
We do not currently run sponsored content. If that changes, all sponsored recipes will be clearly labeled.
